Additional person in the same portrait add 50%. Price quotes for additional items or pets in portrait are available upon request
This is the minimum price. Price will increase with larger canvas size or complexity of background.

The Making of a Portrait

In the first meeting, the basic composition, size, pose, format, type of clothing, tone, background, and lighting are all considered. A series of photographs will be taken.

The photographs are analyzed and the final decision is made as to pose and tone of the painting. If necessary, additional photographs can be taken at a second photo session.

After an initial deposit of 50% work on the painting will be scheduled and an approximate start and finish date will be provided.

The purchase of a fine portrait is a big investment. The choice of an artist is therefore, paramount. I know and understand that responsibility. A portrait captures life and keeps it, long into the future. It is a connection that is solid, tangible and forever filled with life.

Unlike most portrait artists, I do not work with a portrait broker (most of whom take a commision of 50% or higher). The client works directly with me. As a result, my fees are 50% lower than work by equally qualified portrait artists.
